Combine Harvester Fire Suppression Installation and Commissioning
Amet Fire Suppression Industries, recently performed a Fire Suppression Installation and Commissioning on a Combine Harvester, Case 1H 8250 near Brisbane, Queensland.





The harvester was fitted with a foam fire suppression system and tested. Check the video below, to see the farming vehicle being tested (using water).

The fire detection system uses Linear Heat Detection (LHD) with Wire-sensing using MusterWire. If there is a fire detected by the MusterWire, the system is activated to suppress a fire. The operator can activate the system from withing the cabin, or outside the cabin, with the remote actuator button, accessible from the ground level.

After installation, a full commissioning report is performed, complying with Australian Fire Safety Standards.
